Serving Up Authentic Mexican Cuisine

Chilangos Mexican CuisineWhen Marlem Power moved to Canada from Mexico City in 2000 she had little more than a couple of suitcases of clothes and a dream for a great life in Canada.

She quickly found out that her cooking skills were appreciated by her new friends and neighbours so she set out to open an authentic Mexican restaurant in her new home.

She welcomed her brother Abraham Ramos in 2013 and they opened Chilangos Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Belleville in March, 2016. They employ 15 people in their restaurant and serve plenty of happy customers looking for an authentic Mexican experience right here in the Quinte region.

“I worked hard and pursued my dream” Marlem said. “I turned my passion into my own dream. It’s very rewarding that when you have a dream, you can definitely go after it and just be successful.”
